Teacher Employment Exam Spring Intensive Course
The Faculty of Science and Engineering has an intensive course for those wishing to take the teacher employment exam. For seven days during spring break, students learn not only liberal arts subjects but also skills directly related to the exam, such as essay writing and how to fill out the application form. Since this intensive course began, we have turned out an increasing number of successful applicants and continued to expand and improve the content. A key feature of this course not found in other extracurricular courses is a collaboration with Kindai's affiliated junior high school in which students study in a science laboratory to simulate actual classroom teaching.
Level 1 Elementary School Teacher's License Acquisition Program

Workshop for Math and Science Lovers
Be a real schoolteacher for a day! The ideal practicum for on-the-job teacher training.
This is an extracurricular club for students who hope to become teachers. Club members come up with their own ideas to make math and science classes more fun, and then visit nearby elementary and junior high schools to be teaching assistants. This program is certified under the Science Partnership Project of Japan's Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT). Club members can gain invaluable communication and leadership skills.
Career Design
With today's working world demanding an increasingly diverse range of people, it is crucial that students discover their own meaning of work and design a career that will give them experience and make them into the type of person they hope to become. The Faculty of Science and Engineering has a Career Design subject in which instructors guide students in following a concrete path in their studies with a view to the career they hope to pursue. The lectures and discussions are designed so that students deepen their understanding, interact with classmates in clarifying their goals, and study for the career that they see themselves in some day.
