    Summary:type:Departmental Bulletin Paper <Abstract> The purpose of this study is to develop photocatalytic paints for “clean interiors” to reduce the risk of infection in rooms. Three colors of photocatalytic paints based on TiO2 (white), Fe2O3 (red), and WO3 (yellow) were developed, and their bactericidal effects associated with visiblelight and ultraviolet-light irradiations were evaluated. We also held a successful “coloring workshop for students of kindergarten, elementary school, and university” and “demonstrations and lectures for university students” for the purpose of environmental education.
